SCM Group opened its new facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Attending were over 100 Malayan customers, notable representatives of the government, the Italian local establishment and the press.
The Minister of the Industry, Mr Yang Berhormat Datò Lee Chee Leong and the President of ICE Italian Trade Commission, Mr Andrea Ambra, officiated the opening ceremony with the cut of the ribbon, and the Scm Group officials made the welcoming and ceremonial speeches.
Customers and partners took great interest in the dedicated seminars on the latest technologies for the woodworking industry.
The whole event was unmatched by special blessings on behalf of the local religious cleric and the overall festive atmosphere was marked by successful machine sales too.
Investing in Malaysia is a strong asset for Scm Group and it has been made possible thanks to the support of the local Government and Establishment, thanks to local Italian counsellors, thanks to excellent Malaysian suppliers and thanks to all our partners.
Scm Group has been operating in Asia from the late 70s and has now finally crowned the ambition to open its company in the epicentre of the region, in Malaysia to prove to its customers and business partners that they are the key to our success.
