SCM and San Patrignano renew partnership for 'Homo Faber' 2024

San Patrignano, renowned for its commitment to social reintegration and craftsmanship, has teamed up with SCM to create a stunning installation for the 2024 edition of “Homo Faber: The Journey of Life.” This international event, taking place from September 1 to 30 at the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice, aims to promote values of diversity, inclusion, and sustainability through the art of craftsmanship.

For this year’s event, San Patrignano’s artisans have meticulously crafted a masterpiece featuring twenty-two columns from the former Salone Nautico, each covered in gold leaf and intricately decorated. This exclusive installation highlights the exceptional skills of the team’s world-class craftsmen, further underscoring the event’s mission to use artistry as a vehicle for positive change.

SCM, a long-time partner of San Patrignano, played a crucial role in this project by providing advanced machinery, including the new CNC “starteck cn k,” to the Community Cabinetry. This collaboration, which has spanned over four decades, is rooted in shared values such as corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and the excellence of Made in Italy design. Importantly, it also supports the reintegration of the Community’s youth into society and the workforce, providing them with valuable skills and opportunities for the future.

In addition to their contribution to the “Homo Faber” installation, SCM continues to support San Patrignano through various initiatives. Recently, SCM produced key rings using the “starteck” CNC machine as gifts for the many customers and dealers visiting its Technology Center in Rimini. This gesture symbolizes the enduring partnership between SCM and San Patrignano, which is built on a foundation of mutual respect, shared goals, and a passion for craftsmanship.

SCM employees, who have worked closely with the youth and managers of the San Patrignano Cabinetmaking shop over the years, are deeply committed to this collaboration. Their involvement goes beyond simply providing machinery—they actively mentor and assist the young artisans, passing on their expertise with enthusiasm and dedication. This bond between SCM and San Patrignano is not just a partnership; it is a relationship that continues to inspire and evolve, contributing to a brighter future for all involved.
