SCHNEEBERGER- New Location

SCHNEEBERGER is excited to announce the upcoming construction of its new production facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This strategic expansion will serve to better meet the needs of North American customers and provide more efficient, cost-effective delivery of SCHNEEBERGER’s world-class Mineral Cast machine bases. Set to begin production in the fourth quarter of 2025, this state-of-the-art facility represents a significant step in the company’s growth trajectory and commitment to sustainability.

With a vision to strengthen its customer service, SCHNEEBERGER’s new Rock Hill facility will help the company respond more rapidly to the demands of the North American market. The proximity of this new site will shorten delivery times and reduce logistical costs, giving customers quicker access to tailored solutions. As the global demand for precision engineering continues to rise, having a local production facility will significantly enhance SCHNEEBERGER’s ability to provide fast, high-quality solutions that meet the specific needs of North American businesses.

“We are thrilled to bring our industry-leading mineral casting technology closer to our customers in North America,” says Stefan Hantke, CEO of SCHNEEBERGER Group. “This new facility will ensure we remain agile in a competitive market, while upholding the exceptional standards that our customers have come to expect from us.”

The establishment of the new facility is a clear demonstration of SCHNEEBERGER’s ongoing commitment to the North American market and its long-term growth strategy. This expansion will bolster the company’s footprint across the globe, complementing existing production sites in Europe and China, and completing the company’s global support for Mineral Cast machine bases. The facility will not only strengthen SCHNEEBERGER’s presence in the region but will also create new job opportunities and further solidify the company’s leadership in the field of mechanical engineering.

George Blaha, President and General Member of the Executive Board, explains: “This expansion in Rock Hill is part of our broader strategy to localise production and better serve our customers. By establishing production capabilities in the USA, we ensure that our North American customers have direct access to our premium products, in line with our ‘local for local’ approach.”

A key component of SCHNEEBERGER’s vision is its dedication to environmental sustainability. The new Rock Hill facility will not only cater to customer demands but also reinforce the company’s efforts to lead the charge in eco-friendly manufacturing practices. Mineral Cast, also known as polymer concrete, is at the heart of this commitment. This advanced material combines quartz aggregate with industrial-grade epoxy, creating machine bases that are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly than traditional materials like cast iron or steel.

The production of Mineral Cast machine bases significantly reduces CO2 emissions, with a savings of approximately 1.6 tons of CO2 per ton of product produced when compared to conventional materials. This sustainable approach aligns with SCHNEEBERGER’s goal to minimise its carbon footprint and promote greener industrial practices. In addition, SCHNEEBERGER’s Mineral Cast products are fully recyclable. The company is committed to reducing waste and ensuring that its machine bases are returned and recycled efficiently. Customers can be assured that their products will be recycled responsibly, reinforcing the company’s dedication to circular economy principles.

With over 20 years of experience in the casting industry, SCHNEEBERGER’s mineral casting technology combines cutting-edge engineering with innovative design. The company’s machine bases are known for their exceptional stability, accuracy, and long-lasting performance, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial applications. This advanced technology is part of SCHNEEBERGER’s broader strategy to offer high-quality, sustainable solutions from a single source. Linda Aylward, General Manager for North America, emphasises the broader impact of this expansion: “Expanding our production capacity to the USA is a win for everyone – it strengthens supply chains, creates high-quality jobs, and allows us to deliver precision engineering right to our customers’ doorsteps.”

The Rock Hill facility marks another milestone in SCHNEEBERGER’s strategy for global expansion. By having production facilities in key locations worldwide, including Europe, China, and now the USA, the company is ensuring that it can meet the growing demand for advanced, sustainable manufacturing solutions no matter where in the world they are needed. This expansion not only accelerates SCHNEEBERGER’s growth but also helps set new standards in the industry. The company’s Mineral Cast machine bases are already renowned for their outstanding performance, and this new facility will enable SCHNEEBERGER to offer these superior products to a broader customer base more efficiently than ever before.

With its focus on innovation, customer proximity, and sustainability, SCHNEEBERGER is setting a new benchmark in mechanical engineering. The opening of the Rock Hill facility will create numerous job opportunities, enhance the company’s ability to serve its North American customers, and continue SCHNEEBERGER’s journey toward a greener, more sustainable future in manufacturing. As the demand for precision and high-performance machine bases grows, SCHNEEBERGER’s commitment to providing advanced, eco-friendly solutions will continue to drive its success. The company’s North American expansion is poised to set the stage for even greater achievements in the years to come, making it a true industry leader in both innovation and sustainability.
