When industrial air technology partners with preventive fire protection, a powerful collaboration is born—and has been for over 45 years. At LIGNA 2025, Scheuch LIGNO and Fagus-GreCon marked this milestone with an official certificate handover at their exhibition stand. This gesture is far more than symbolic; it underscores a long-standing, proven system dedicated to ensuring reliable production safety.
A milestone with history
The collaboration between Scheuch and Fagus-GreCon began in 1980 with a joint project. Since then, the cooperation between two leading specialists has grown into a stable, trust-based partnership – with their 25th anniversary already being recognised at LIGNA 2005. The fact that both companies once again appeared together at the world’s leading trade fair for wood processing in 2025 is a strong sign: of continuity, technical understanding and mutual respect.
Two Systems, One Shared Goal
Scheuch LIGNO stands for powerful extraction, filtration and conveying technology in the wood processing industry. Fagus-GreCon complements these systems with intelligent spark and flame detection, control and targeted extinguishment. Together, they create solutions that protect processes, prevent fires and ensure production safety – in more than 1,000 realised projects worldwide.
The systems of both companies interact seamlessly – technically, operationally and logistically. This results in faster response times, reduced downtime costs, maximum safety along the process chain – and a single point of contact.
Safety that evolves
Over the past few decades, industrial production safety has faced significant shifts. New legal regulations, escalating energy costs, and growing sustainability demands now require integrated, forward-thinking protection solutions. The enduring partnership between Scheuch LIGNO and Fagus-GreCon has continually adapted to these challenges, offering a proven system that has evolved in terms of technology, organization, and strategy.
“Our employees possess extensive know-how regarding the design, installation and maintenance of GreCon spark extinguishing systems. Our customers benefit from this by receiving a complete solution from a single source,” says Ing. Alois Burgstaller, Managing Director of Scheuch LIGNO GmbH.
45 Years of Trust – A model for the future
Both companies intend to continue developing their systems in the future. However, their fundamental approach remains unchanged: safety must be reliable, easy to integrate and economically viable.
The symbolic recognition at LIGNA thus stands not only for more than four decades of success, but also for a partnership that continues to hold strong under changing conditions. Or, as Mario Haas, Managing Director of Fagus-GreCon, puts it: “What has connected us over all these years is the shared belief that every challenge is an opportunity – for our customers, for innovation and for our own growth.”
