Claus Neuffer becomes responsible as board member for the areas of technology and sustainability at the surface specialist Schattdecor. He will serve as the new Director of the particular sector of the company. It was effective from January 1, 2024. He succeeds Roland Heeger, who was previously responsible for global technology affairs for 18 years.
New: With Neuffer, the area of sustainability has found its way into the board department. The IT department moves into the department of Dr. Derick Beitel, Chief Financial Officer.
Claus Neuffer has been with Schattdecor since 2000 and brings decades of experience to the new position. His career path is marked by long-term stays abroad at Schattdecor locations such as Brazil, where he has repeatedly demonstrated his understanding of markets and requirements.
In addition, he played an active role in expanding the group and was jointly responsible for the construction of new locations in Russia, China, Poland and Brazil. He was managing director in Brazil from 2004 to 2010. After ten years abroad, he returned to Thansau, where he and his team have since been responsible for technical projects and investments within the Schattdecor Group – until recently in his role as Head of Technology.
In his new position, he primarily likes to expand the focus on technology and sustainability in the group and advance them with a corresponding strategic vision. The expansion of the board’s department to include the sustainability department also emphasises the ongoing commitment on the part of the surface specialist Schattdecor itself to this important topic. In management, Schattdecor continues to pursue the goal of meeting the highest environmental standards as a manufacturing company and rely on technological innovations as a central pillar in production and business practices.
