Randek robots to ensure a warm home with latest innovations at LIGNA stand next week. Global demand for automated solutions for prefabricated housing acts as an innovation engine for Randek. The Swedes are therefore constantly striving to push the boundaries of technology. The latest achievement, robotic insulation, can be marveled at as an exhibit at LIGNA 2023.

Randek, based in Falkenberg on the west coast of Sweden, has been developing, manufacturing and marketing machinery and equipment for timber frame construction since the early 1940s. On the occasion of LIGNA 2023 in Hannover, Randek will also show a large section of its broad portfolio, including its latest achievement, the fully automated ZeroLabor robotic insulation of wall and roof elements for prefabricated house construction.

Extensive Automation in prefabricated House Construction

The Randek ZeroLabor robotic system is a fully automated robotic system that can perform various work processes fully automatically. The flexible robot system can be individually configured according to customer requirements, giving users the choice of using the system as a stand-alone solution or integrating it into existing production lines. The previous main task of the ZeroLabor robot system was the production of walls, floors and roofs. The current version, Zero Labor 3.0, offers higher speed and even greater functionality than the previous generation, which was already impressive in these areas. In terms of configuration, users can employ up to five robots, which can produce lightweight steel wall frames as well as wooden frames.

Fully automated Isolation of structural Elements by Robots

In the run-up to LIGNA 2023, the Randek ZeroLabor robotic system underwent a special functional upgrade, which from now on will also enable the insulation of wall and roof elements for prefabricated house construction to be carried out fully automatically. By eliminating the repetitive and strenuous work of manually applying insulation, Randek is able to significantly increase both the efficiency and quality of the insulation process.
