Paged Group has announced the appointment of Olga Zajączkowska to the Management Board of Paged LabTech, the group’s dedicated research and development centre, following a decision by the Supervisory Board. The move is seen as a strategic step to further align innovation, product development, and market demand across one of Europe’s largest plywood manufacturers.
Zajączkowska has held the position of Chief Product & Innovation Officer at Paged Plywood and, alongside her new board-level responsibilities at Paged LabTech, has also taken on oversight of marketing and communications for Paged Plywood. The expanded remit is designed to strengthen coherence between research activities, product strategy, and customer-facing communication, ensuring that innovation efforts translate more effectively into commercial outcomes.
Paged LabTech operates as the central R&D hub for the Paged Group, supporting the development, testing, and commercialisation of advanced wood-based materials. Zajączkowska’s appointment forms part of a broader organisational shift aimed at accelerating decision-making, improving the market relevance of innovation, and building long-term competitive advantage in increasingly demanding construction, transport, and industrial sectors.
“Modern R&D is no longer confined to laboratory work alone,” Zajączkowska said. “It is a space where science, design, and market insight must converge. Real value is created when innovation directly addresses social, environmental, and economic challenges faced by our customers.”
She joins Dr Ewelina Depczyńska, President of the Management Board of Paged LabTech, and Marek Janke, Member of the Management Board of Paged LabTech and President of the Management Board of Paged Plywood S.A., in leading the R&D centre, which has been operating since 2019.
Over the past 18 months, Zajączkowska has also established and led the Global Product Development Expert Team within Paged Plywood. The team manages the full lifecycle of the company’s product portfolio, from market and trend analysis through technology development, cost optimisation, risk management, and alignment with customer requirements.
This structured, portfolio-based approach supports the ongoing expansion of Paged Plywood’s solutions across a wide range of applications, including construction systems, transport and logistics, technical and industrial uses, interior design, and furniture manufacturing. It also enables the business to respond more quickly to regulatory change, sustainability expectations, and evolving performance standards in the European plywood market.
In her combined role as Chief Product & Innovation Officer and Management Board member of Paged LabTech, Zajączkowska is responsible for defining product and product-group strategies, overseeing innovation delivery, managing lifecycle portfolios, and leading segment-focused marketing and corporate communications. Her remit includes close collaboration with R&D, production, logistics, IT, and sales teams, as well as responsibility for product-related budgets, cost control, and risk management.

Zajączkowska brings more than 15 years of experience in R&D, innovation management, and product strategy, with senior roles across industries including construction chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and wood-based materials. Her career includes positions at Selena Group, FM WORLD, Jusee Cosmetics, Prouvé, and Laboscent, and she is a member of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Construction.
