Schmalz

Schmalz innovation continues unabated. New in from the company is their large-area gripper: half portion with full power. Schmalz is introducing a narrower series of its universal large-area gripper into the offices of glass and wood processors as well as intralogistics experts with the FXP-60 and FMP-60. Maximum flexibility in automated handling procedures is ensured by the FXP and FMP. Automated palletizing, depalletizing, order picking, and sorting of a wide range of products with a wide range of dimensions are all achievable with just one gripper. It is possible to handle workpieces constructed from a wide range of materials, including cardboard, wood, dry sheet metal, and plastic, both with and without recesses. It may also be ordered right away in a range of lengths and with or without an integrated vacuum generator.

Schmalz’s FXP/FMP series stands out for their superior power, producing an average suction power that is 86% greater than that of comparable market grippers. The flow optimization means that the energy used is used more efficiently, which also reduces operating costs over the long term, thus optimizing high energy efficiency. With Schmalz’s latest gripper, handling of workpieces from 20 mm width, independent of material, geometry, surface and position also becomes extremely easy due to its unique flexibility. Maximum process acceleration and minimum system costs by using smaller robots are also ensured, thus strengthening dynamic handling. Quiet operation with a sound level of only 74 dB(A) facilitates low noise level.
