NESTRO – the Clean Solutions, the enterprise distinguished for its sustainable production recently won Sustainability Award. The virtual fair eREC offered to exhibitors and visitors from the recycling industry a new digital platform to link with each other. For the first time the eREC-Awards are given in four categories as part of the supporting programme of the fair. All winners successfully act in the recycling industry for many years and, “distinguish themselves above all by creativity, engagement, quality and innovation strength”. The prize-winners were selected by a jury from a variety of enterprises, because they earn special recognition on account of their excellent projects, innovative solutions or of their environmental commitment. The company NESTRO Lufttechnik GmbH has won in the category Sustainability!
Dedicated to environment protection, energy producer NESTRO at its headquarters in Schkölen, Germany generates her own electricity already since 2013. More than 2000 polycrystalline PV-modules – mounted on the flat roof and partly on the facade – represent a capacity of nearly 500 kWp. As a heat producer NESTRO with an internally developed heating system combusting environmentally sustainable material (straw) covered the heat demand in Schkölen since 2006. Also NESTRO is often recognised as a water economist with two cisterns with a capacity of 20 m³ each collect rainwater so it can be used for watering the green areas around the factory in Schkölen. As a product developer over the years, the brand continuously refined supply portfolio and complement or optimise products. NESTRO is a classical environment protection enterprise with significant international honouring and is hence honoured for its distinguished contribution in sustenance of environment.
The eREC is the new digital trade fair for the recycling industry. It offers a virtual platform that guarantees national and international exchange between companies, customers and associations – without great expense, travel or personnel costs. All participants of the virtual event have the opportunity to present products, innovations and themselves in the form of digital exhibition stands. And this year the jury selected NESTRO for it path breaking contribution and honoured with the Sustainability Award.
