The NAD (New Academy of Design) was established in 2010 and serves as the foundation upon which Hdemy Group has grown. Its educational plan is predicated on a close integration of creativity, real-world application, and ongoing skill development to meet market demands. NAD produces professionals who are ready to enter the workforce because of its teaching faculty, which is made up of experts in their disciplines.
Professional and short courses, workshops, and project activities in partnership with businesses and industry partners are among the educational options, which include one-, two-, and three-year courses. The entire training methodology is characterised by the “learning by doing” approach, which promotes experiential learning and the development of operational skills. Interior design, graphic and visual design, fashion design, fashion communication, green design, brand management, computer-generated imagery and three-dimensional design, digital marketing, and communication are among the discipline areas that make up the offer.
In an academic setting that pays attention to the caliber of instruction and services provided, the teaching environment fosters both individual and group development by promoting dialogue, idea sharing, and ongoing innovation. The mission of NAD, or Nuova Accademia del Design, is to provide thorough and specialised training programs to professionals, businesses, and young people in order to support their professional development and validation in the design industry. The Academy continuously incorporates the development of technology and business, giving particular emphasis to cutting-edge procedures and the dynamics of the modern market.

To strengthen its position throughout the nation, NAD, or Nuova Accademia del Design, has announced the inauguration of new classrooms at Via Santa Marta 18 in the center of Milan. Complementing the main campus in Verona and the historic and renowned Cappiello Academy in Florence, which was purchased in 2024, the new classrooms are part of the Hdemy Group, a network of esteemed institutions in the sectors of design, fashion, and communication.
Within the historic SIAM1838 – Società d’Incoraggiamento d’Arti e Mestieri, which has played host to important events for the advancement of technical knowledge and the creative industries in Italy, are the new classrooms. This location serves as a reminder of NAD’s purpose and dedication to design culture and hands-on training, providing students with the chance to develop in a setting where innovation and tradition have coexisted for more than 180 years.
“Our new NAD classrooms at SIAM1838 in Milan offer modern, well-equipped spaces for an immersive learning experience. In the heart of the city, our students can train in an inspiring environment, with cutting-edge technology and a unique network of design professionals,” notes Nicola Pighi, CEO and Founder.
With campuses in Verona, Florence, and now Milan, NAD offers students access to a network of professionals, businesses, and top-notch educational establishments. Three distinct cities are bound together by a robust design identity and an innovative culture that turns education into a tangible route to career success. The talents of today and tomorrow will continue to be shaped at NAD, located in the center of Milan.
