In a strategic move to deepen collaboration and enhance product offerings, MINDA Group officially integrated HOWIAL GmbH & Co. KG into its operations on May 16, 2025. The acquisition marks the culmination of a long-standing partnership between the two companies, which have jointly delivered successful projects by leveraging their complementary expertise. MINDA, known for its advanced conveyor systems and presses, has partnered with HOWIAL, a specialist in finger joint technology, since signing a cooperation contract in 2022 that aligned their efforts across sales, development, procurement, production, and control technology.
This merger represents a classic win-win scenario: MINDA gains extensive know-how in finger jointing systems, while HOWIAL benefits from MINDA’s international market reach and strong production capabilities. Both firms see the union as a natural progression following years of seamless teamwork and shared successes.
HOWIAL’s product portfolio, which currently includes compact machines and cycle center machines, will soon be expanded through joint developments aimed at the higher-performance segment. This expansion is designed to better serve industrial-scale manufacturers of engineered wood products, reflecting growing market demands for scalable and integrated solutions.
By securing long-term access to HOWIAL’s finger jointing technology, MINDA is significantly broadening its expertise in complete system solutions. A key advantage of this integration lies in combining HOWIAL’s finger joint systems with MINDA’s proprietary production control software, FlowMate. This integration minimizes interface complexities, creating a fully “seamlessly integrated” system that enhances efficiency and simplifies operations for customers.
Robert Falch, Managing Partner of the MINDA Group, highlighted the strategic and personal alignment behind the acquisition: “I am looking forward to continuing our trusting cooperation and implementing numerous innovative ideas. When technology and business purpose match and the two entrepreneurs work well together, a joint path into the future is a logical consequence.”
The acquisition is expected to accelerate innovation and growth for both companies, strengthening their position as leading suppliers in the engineered wood industry. Customers can anticipate enhanced product offerings, improved system integration, and expanded service capabilities as the combined entity leverages its comprehensive expertise.
For industry players seeking advanced finger jointing and conveyor solutions, the MINDA-HOWIAL partnership signals a new era of collaborative innovation and industrial-scale manufacturing excellence.
