MAY be exciting for woodworkers worldwide

May is a remarkable month for woodworkers everywhere. It’s a time when the global woodworking community comes together, highlighted by numerous important trade shows. These events are not just meetings; they are vibrant celebrations of innovation, offering the best new solutions and technologies in woodworking. Attending trade shows comes with a plethora of advantages. The most immediate benefit is the potential to gain new clients and customers. However, the perks extend far beyond this. Trade shows are invaluable for networking, providing countless opportunities to forge new business contacts. They serve as a platform for striking fresh business deals and collaborations.

To start with, Saudi WoodShow is coming up in a few days. Saudi WoodShow is scheduled from May 12 to 14, 2024, is set to bring to the Kingdom the same high-quality Global WoodShow platform, the “Leading Global Wood & Machinery Trade Show,” which has catered to the needs and wants of the region’s wood and woodworking machinery industry for many years. In the dynamic narrative of Saudi Arabia’s construction prowess, the year 2023 emerged as a beacon of unprecedented achievement. The project market exhibited remarkable momentum, surging ahead with unparalleled vigor.

Then we will be having FIMMA-Maderalia. FIMMA + Maderalia, that is about to return from May 14-17 at Feria Valencia is about to bring helpful lectures, talks and technical sessions that will be delivered during the woodworking event. In total more than 120 presentations are scheduled to be given, from ten purpose-built stages, with topics covering almost every aspect of the industry: from the latest advances in technology, manufacturing and industry 4.0 to trends in design, architecture and timber construction, making this FIMMA + Maderalia’s most extensive and wide-ranging programme of talks in at least the last ten years.

And in the last week, Xylexpo is coming alive. Xylexpo is gearing up to reaffirm its status as a pivotal event in the global trade fair arena. Scheduled from May 21 to May 24 at FieraMilano Rho, this prestigious expo will host over 260 exhibitors, 33 percent of whom are international, spread across 25,000 square meters in Halls 1 and 3. As the leading showcase for wood and furniture technology innovations, Xylexpo 2024 promises to highlight cutting-edge advancements in the industry. The event will present the state-of-the-art of the international offer of wood and furniture technology. “It will be a valuable opportunity – said Dario Corbetta, exhibition director ­– in view of the recent measures for “Industry 5.0”. Italian companies will benefit from fiscal incentives up to 45 percent of their investments, provided they comply with specific features in terms of digital transformation, but most of all – that’s the news – sustainability”. An attracting opportunity for all Italian exhibitors and visitors in an Italian market that is worth more than one billion euro.

Meanwhile, for the woodworkers can also be at the United Kingdom and visit Materials and Finishes Show to be held between May 19 and 22. The UK’s primary platform for carpenters, joiners, machinists and installers to see running woodwork machinery, the latest materials, components, software, tools and innovations for the woodworking sector. The event will bring together every corner of the furniture manufacturing and joinery industries. Hundreds of brands, thousands of the latest products and innovations, all under one roof, across four days.
