From May 26-30, 2025, LIGNA in Hannover will set the stage for the next revolution in sustainable construction—with engineered wood at its core. With industry giants like Minda, Weinig, Grenzebach, Schiele, Dieffenbacher, Reichenbacher Hamuel, and Globe Machine Manufacturing in attendance, the event will highlight cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of wood-based construction.

Engineered wood—stronger, lighter, and more sustainable than concrete or steel—is fast becoming the go-to material for urban development, modular construction, and eco-friendly interiors. With CO₂-binding properties and streamlined prefabrication processes, engineered wood reduces waste, cuts emissions, and enhances efficiency—all critical factors for the future of construction.

Smart Machinery to Drive the Timber Revolution

At LIGNA 2025, the latest automated production systems, robotic processing units, and AI-driven manufacturing solutions will be on full display. Visitors can explore next-generation joinery machines, CLT production lines, wood-finishing technologies, and robotic automation solutions, all designed to push the limits of what’s possible with timber.

“We will showcase the full spectrum of pioneering solutions that unlock the potential of solid wood and wood-based materials,” says Stephanie Wagner, Head of LIGNA at Deutsche Messe. From CNC hybrid machining to 3D printing applications for engineered wood, exhibitors will demonstrate innovations designed to revolutionize wood processing and modular construction.

Industry Leaders Unveiling Game-Changing Innovations

  • Minda Industrieanlagen will present its TimberPress X 100 eco, a fully automated CLT press optimizing production efficiency.
  • Weinig, celebrating its 120th anniversary, will showcase Weinig System Solutions, setting new standards in CLT production and solid wood processing.
  • Grenzebach will unveil energy-efficient veneer drying solutions and innovative wood fiber insulation materials, advancing sustainable building practices.
  • Schiele Maschinenbau will introduce the VACUMAT FlexCoat, an industry-first system for solvent-based lacquers in furniture finishing.
  • Dieffenbacher will present EVORIS, an AI-powered digital platform for optimizing wood-based panel production.
  • Reichenbacher Hamuel will showcase hybrid CNC technology, merging 3D printing with traditional wood processing for groundbreaking structural elements.
  • Globe Machine Manufacturing, a leader in robotic automation, will demonstrate its latest advancements in plywood, MDF, OSB, and engineered wood production lines.

LIGNA 2025: The Ultimate Destination for Wood Innovation

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, LIGNA remains the world’s premier trade fair for woodworking and wood processing. This year, it will feature over 5,000 square meters of exhibition space, hosting live demonstrations, interactive technology showcases, and networking opportunities for industry professionals worldwide.

With a sharp focus on engineered wood, automation, and AI-driven manufacturing, LIGNA 2025 is set to redefine how wood is used in modern construction. The event promises to be a must-visit for architects, builders, and manufacturers seeking next-level solutions in sustainable wood processing.
