Lamello Group is about to welcome Marco Schweizer as the managing director of the company from January 1, 2024. He succeeds Susanne Affolter, who will continue to chair the Board of Directors and help shape the strategic direction of this long-established company.
Born in Fricktal in Northwestern Switzerland, Marco Schweizer was Managing Director of FrymaKoruma from 2020 to 2023. Marco Schweizer started his career in 1998 as a designer at the premium supplier for machines and process systems FrymaKoruma. It is here that he accumulated expertise in manufacturing processes, process flows and the associated challenges in the international mechanical engineering industry over 25 years. His broad range of competencies include roles as project manager, head of engineering and development, product manager, head of customer service and managing director at FrymaKoruma AG in Rheinfelden, Switzerland. He was also the managing director of ProXES Technology GmbH in Neuenburg, Germany.
In his new position as managing director of the Lamello Group, Marco Schweizer is certain: „It‘s always about the people. This applies both to the collegiality within the Lamello workforce as well as our valuable and first-class business and customer relationships. We want to cultivate and expand these relationships together so that we can continue to develop pragmatic and pioneering solutions for our customers in the future.“
Susanne Affolter will step down from her role as managing director of the Lamello Group on December 31, 2023. Being optimistic about this new change she said, ”With Marco Schweizer, the Lamello Group gains a top manager with more than 16 years
of management experience. On a personal level as well with his expertise he has what it takes to move Lamello to the next stage. We look forward to our strong and successful cooperation.“
