One of the leading manufacturers of innovative joining technologies and the most reliable partner for wood joining – Lamello AG brings the efficient connection solution for lightweight construction: LC P-16. This joining system for lightweight panels without the need for concealed timber edges.
Advantages:
- P-System joint for lightweight materials and speedy installation
- Strong anchorage in the surface layers without concealed timber edges
- Three product sizes for use with all common material thicknesses
- Enables the use of the detachable Clamex P family
- Ideal for furniture and assemblies in lightweight construction, caravans and shipbuilding
The LC P-16 is a P-System joint for lightweight panels
- It is securely anchored in the surface layer by its profile
- The integrated P-System groove makes it possible to slide in Clamex P connectors
- Without the time-consuming use of concealed timber edges or glues
- Machining with two to three machining steps is carried out
Features:
No concealed timber edging required
Time-saving anchorage directly in the surface layer
Fast installation
Inserting instead of screwing or glueing
Combine
It can be used with Clamex P-14, Clamex P-14 Flexus, Clamex P-14 CNC
A wide range of materials and thicknesses
Three product sizes available for various lightweight panel applications
With the three available sizes LC P-16×11, LC P-16×17 and LC P-16×22, joints in the most common lightweight panels are possible. Machining with two to three operations is carried out either with the Zeta P2 or, even more efficiently, with the CNC machining centre. For machining with the Zeta P2, the P-system depth adjuster is set to 18 mm and the 2 mm depth adjuster cap is then attached to achieve a machining depth of 16 mm.
To ensure that the next machinings are positioned precisely one above the other, the access hole is drilled after the first machining with the Clamex P drill jig with the P-16 interchangeable element insert. The positioning clip on the Zeta P2 engages in the hole and ensures that the machinings are positioned exactly on top of each other. The height is adjusted via the angle stop. The recurring height adjustments of the angle stop can be adjusted efficiently using self-made spacers, for example made of leftover wood.
The LC P-16 configurator determines the right product size and machining positions for the respective application. LC P-16 is only required for anchorage of the Clamex P-14 connector halves in the front side of the lightweight panel. The Clamex P-10 connector halves are pushed directly into the cover plate and anchored. Clamex P-14 Flexus or Clamex P-14 CNC can also be used in the LC-P16 instead of the Clamex P-14 connector halves. The Clamex P-10 connector halves are best suited as counterparts for the surface. If the surface layer is more than 4 mm, the Clamex P-14 connector half with its offset profile is also well suited. The Clamex P-10 Medius connector half without lever also works, but is less well guided when sliding in due to its recess on the back. Other suitable P-system connectors for glued joints are Tenso P-14 or Bisco P-14.
