At the renowned Interzum Award 2025, held as part of the prestigious Interzum trade fair, Kastamonu Entegre stood out by securing three “High Product Quality” awards. The company’s commitment to sustainable development and innovative product design was evident with its offerings in the “Rethinking Resources: Circular and Biobased Solutions” category. The winning products, PureBoard, CoffeeBoard, and HempBoard, have helped solidify Kastamonu Entegre’s reputation as a leader in the global wood-based panel industry.

These accolades were awarded at Interzum 2025, one of the world’s largest trade fairs for furniture components and interior design solutions, held at the Koelnmesse Congress Centrum Nord in Cologne, Germany. Interzum serves as an international platform for industry professionals to explore cutting-edge solutions that are shaping the future of furniture and interior design.

Kastamonu Entegre’s CEO, Haluk Yıldız, expressed pride in the company’s achievements. “Receiving three ‘High Product Quality’ awards at such a globally respected platform as Interzum is a testament to our innovative R&D approach and sustainability-driven production methods. These awards not only celebrate our product excellence but also highlight our commitment to caring for nature and human health,” Yıldız shared. The company’s focus on sustainable production methods, such as using bio-based materials and low-emission manufacturing, plays a crucial role in shaping the materials industry of tomorrow.

Interzum 2025: A Showcase for Innovation in Sustainable Design

Interzum is known for its emphasis on sustainability and innovation, and the 2025 edition was no different. With the theme “Rethinking Resources,” this year’s Interzum Award honored companies that pushed the boundaries of sustainable manufacturing while focusing on resource-efficient and eco-friendly production methods. As sustainability remains a top priority within the industry, the Interzum Award also acknowledged designs that contribute to reducing waste, energy consumption, and the use of harmful chemicals.

Kastamonu Entegre’s success at Interzum is a reflection of its ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability across its product development processes. The awarded products were displayed both physically at Interzum 2025 (held from May 20–23, 2025) and online at www.interzum.com, where their eco-friendly innovations were shared with a global audience of industry experts, designers, and architects.

PureBoard: A Game-Changer in Particleboard for Healthier Interiors

PureBoard, a groundbreaking product in Kastamonu Entegre’s portfolio, earned a High Product Quality award for its eco-conscious approach. This non-formaldehyde particleboard is produced using 100% bio-based adhesives, a first in Turkey. By eliminating formaldehyde, PureBoard significantly improves indoor air quality, making it a preferred choice for eco-friendly architecture projects. It is used in a wide range of applications, including furniture, interior decoration, and store design, where healthy living spaces are a top priority.

PureBoard embodies Kastamonu Entegre’s commitment to creating materials that prioritize both environmental responsibility and human health, proving that innovation can indeed align with sustainability.

CoffeeBoard: Turning Waste into a Valuable Resource

CoffeeBoard is another trailblazing product that helped Kastamonu Entegre secure recognition at Interzum 2025. This innovative panel is made by upcycling coffee grounds from major beverage chains, turning coffee waste into a valuable material. By following a circular economy model, CoffeeBoard not only addresses waste management challenges but also redefines sustainable production practices. This product reflects the company’s dedication to providing sustainable solutions while advancing eco-friendly manufacturing standards.

The development of CoffeeBoard was made possible through Kastamonu Entegre’s dedicated R&D center, where innovation meets sustainability. As the demand for sustainable solutions grows, CoffeeBoard sets a new benchmark for waste-to-value products and encourages industry-wide transformation.

HempBoard: Nature-Inspired and Eco-Friendly

The third product to receive the High Product Quality award at Interzum 2025 is HempBoard, a material that exemplifies the potential of natural resources in eco-friendly construction. HempBoard is made using fibers from the woody core of the hemp plant, offering an alternative to traditional raw materials while contributing to waste reduction. As the global demand for eco-friendly building materials continues to rise, HempBoard offers an innovative solution for green construction projects.

The unique properties of hemp fibers make this product highly competitive in the growing market for sustainable materials. In addition to providing a low environmental impact, HempBoard opens new doors for ecological design and highlights the importance of diversified sourcing in wood-based panels.

Kastamonu Entegre’s Sustainable Future

Kastamonu Entegre’s remarkable achievements at the Interzum Award 2025 reinforce its role as a leader in the global wood-based panel market. With a vision focused on innovation, sustainability, and high product quality, the company continues to push the boundaries of eco-friendly design. The three award-winning products—PureBoard, CoffeeBoard, and HempBoard—are prime examples of how Kastamonu Entegre integrates circular economy principles and bio-based solutions into its operations.

By securing three prestigious awards, Kastamonu Entegre demonstrates its determination to be at the forefront of the sustainable materials movement. As the industry shifts toward more eco-conscious solutions, Kastamonu Entegre remains committed to pioneering products that benefit both human health and the environment.
