Kahrs unveils the new ‘Aware Collection’ that is durable, vinyl-free floor and based on recycled and biobased materials. It is curated for both home and official settings and is available in nine vivid colours. A floor from the Kahrs Aware Collection has a completely authentic wood appearance, is made of natural and recyclable materials, and has a durability comparable to that of a typical vinyl floor.

The Kahrs Aware Collection was created with the modern and conscientious customer in mind, who desires comfort without sacrificing design. It has a stunning aesthetic, exceptional quality, and excellent sustainability features. The new flooring product also has to be compatible with Kahrs sustainability policy, which includes using new and innovative materials as one of its main areas of concentration in order to continuously reduce its environmental impact.

Minimal emissions, no PVC
It all comes together in Kahrs’ new flooring alternative, Aware, a brand-new kind of tough and effective, bio-based floor. designed to withstand daily use in homes and offices while maintaining the look, feel, and elegance of a wooden floor.

“We wanted to expand our Luxury Tiles range with a vinyl free flooring option, and it is so rewarding to see the final products, which are beyond even my expectations. The floor impresses with its very realistic wood plank design and pleasant touch and feel” says Charlotta Persfell, CMO at Kahrs. “And those are the visible benefits! On top of that, they have great sustainability properties, high wear resistance and are really comfortable to walk on” Charlotta continues.

The Kährs Aware Collection features a variety of wood design planks in nine vivid colours that were inspired by and named after national parks all around the world. The planks are constructed using bio-based components, including HDF created from recovered wood, natural fibres and fillers, and recycled cork from the creation of wine corks. Due to the floor’s minimal emissions and complete lack of PVC, indoor air quality is improved.
