Jeld-Wen Holding Inc. has named William (Bill) Christensen as their new CEO. Christensen, who only started working for the firm in April as executive vice president and president of Jeld-Wen Europe, also became a member of the Jeld Wen board of directors. The new CEO of Jeld Wen, William “Bill” Christensen, previously served as CEO of REHAU AG. Christensen was the CEO and group executive board chair of REHAU AG before being hired by Jeld Wen.

Previously serving as the temporary CEO, Kevin C. Lilly will now serve as the executive vice president for global transformation. Lilly’s responsibilities will be to oversee business transformation activities in her new position. He will also continue to be in charge of the worldwide information technology organisation and give executive direction to Jeld Wen Europe.

Christensen expressed his immense honour at being appointed CEO of Jeld Wen at such a crucial juncture in the history of the organisation. He has faith in Jeld Wen’s future and is eager to collaborate closely with the board of directors, the senior management group, and their international affiliates to generate profitable growth and higher stakeholder value.

“After an extensive search process with many highly qualified candidates, we are confident that Bill is the right leader to drive Jeld Wen forward at this important time for the company,” said David G. Nord, chair of the Jeld Wen board of directors. “Bill’s understanding of our organisation, prior CEO experience in the building products industry and proven ability to lead transformation in global manufacturing businesses make him the right choice. We look forward to working with Bill as we continue to simplify and streamline the company to better compete in the markets we serve and drive more value for our customers, employees and shareholders.”

After serving as the CEO and group executive board chair of REHAU AG, a multinational firm with more than €3.0 billion in annual revenues and almost 20,000 workers, based in Switzerland, Christensen joined Jeld Wen in 2022. He designed a multi-million dollar transformation to increase profitability during his time at REHAU AG, which involved restructuring, selling non-core businesses, optimising production assets, and establishing strategic growth priorities. Christensen previously served as CEO of Arbonia AG, a major manufacturer of building supplies with headquarters in Switzerland, before joining REHAU AG.
