IPCO to showcase advanced steel press belt solutions and service innovations at Intermob 2025

IPCO, a global leader in manufacturing steel press belts for the wood-based panel (WBP) industry, will use Intermob 2025 to highlight its engineering capabilities and customer-focused service approach. The company supplies both leading press OEMs and end users worldwide, with a heritage dating back to 1901. Its track record includes industry milestones such as the world’s first steel belt and the longest press belt ever produced at 183.5 metres.

New Developments for Enhanced Efficiency

Innovation remains a cornerstone of IPCO’s operations. Recently, the company launched the ProRelease release agent delivery system, designed specifically for the WBP industry. This technology applies release agents with exceptional precision, reducing consumption by up to 90%, according to one company involved in trials.

The benefits are extensive: improved board quality, higher productivity, reduced environmental impact, and a cleaner production environment. The system also supports long-term operational efficiency by minimising waste and lowering production costs.

Advanced Repair and Maintenance Technologies

Visitors to Intermob 2025 will also be introduced to IPCO’s cutting-edge repair and maintenance solutions. These include the Shotpeener Pro, a device that flattens deformed steel belts, restoring them to optimal condition, and the QuickDisc Plus 500, a portable tool enabling fast replacement of damaged belt sections.

These innovations help manufacturers reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan, supporting continuous, high-quality production in demanding industrial settings.

Global Service with Local Expertise

IPCO’s global reach is backed by locally-based service teams, equipped with advanced tools and trained to perform installations, inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance.

For complex issues, the company deploys its Press Priority Team, a specialist unit providing immediate worldwide support. Additionally, IPCO offers in-house training programmes to equip customer teams with the knowledge needed to manage on-site maintenance and optimise steel belt care.

A History of Innovation and Partnership

“We are IPCO – the Industrial Processing Company. We innovate, produce and service equipment and steel belts for businesses seeking to increase their productivity within continuous industrial processing.”

Since 1901, IPCO has worked in close partnership with customers, pushing boundaries in quality, sustainability, and productivity. Its expertise spans conveyor belts, double belt processing, pastillation, film casting, and scattering systems, enabling industrial success across multiple sectors.

The company’s mission extends beyond manufacturing performance, playing an active role in the green transition by enabling large-scale processing of sustainable materials.

Global Presence and Swedish Industrial Heritage

IPCO’s operations cover 25 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, supported by 10 manufacturing sites and 5 productivity centres. Its 700+ employees deliver engineering and service solutions to customers worldwide.

The company was established in 2018 following its separation from the Sandvik Group and is wholly owned by FAM AB, a private holding company under Wallenberg Investments AB. The Wallenberg family, a pillar of Swedish industrial development, has contributed significantly to research and education through its foundations.

Proud Member of the Wallenberg Ecosystem

“We at IPCO are very proud to be part of the Wallenberg Ecosystem, a group of foundations and holding companies set up by the Wallenberg family. By designing, building and servicing innovative equipment and steel belts, through the Wallenberg foundations, we enable funding for Swedish research and innovation in areas such as sustainability, AI and medicine.”

Looking Ahead to Intermob 2025

At Intermob 2025, IPCO will showcase not just its technological innovations, but also its commitment to sustainability, customer training, and global service excellence. Visitors can expect a first-hand look at solutions designed to improve production efficiency, product quality, and environmental performance in the wood-based panel industry.

With more than a century of innovation and a strong focus on future industrial needs, IPCO’s presence at the event reaffirms its role as a trusted partner to manufacturers worldwide.
