From May 20–23, 2025, Cologne will be the epicenter for the global woodworking and furniture supply industry as it hosts interzum 2025, the leading international trade fair. Over 1,600 exhibitors from more than 55 countries will gather to showcase innovative products and solutions that drive the future of the industry. This year’s central theme, “Rethinking Resources: Circular and Bio-based Solutions,” will be at the heart of the event, generating momentum for the sustainable transformation of the furniture production and interior design sectors.

As the woodworking industry grapples with challenges around resource efficiency and sustainability, interzum 2025 will explore crucial questions shaping the future. How can resources be used more efficiently? What role will bio-based materials play in large-scale production? And how can circular concepts become the norm in furniture manufacturing? Exhibitors will provide answers through product demonstrations and a comprehensive event program, featuring lectures, forums, and special exhibits.

“The fair will be a pivotal venue for dialogue, new ideas, and innovation,” said Maik Fischer, Director of interzum. “This year’s focus on sustainability aligns with the woodworking industry’s goal to adopt responsible practices that contribute to a greener future.”

The trade fair will be divided into three primary segments for easy navigation and focused discussions:

In addition to the exhibitions, interzum 2025 will host an inspiring event program, featuring the interzum Trend Stage and Product Stage. These stages will serve as platforms for expert-led discussions on market trends, technological advancements, and future opportunities in woodworking, material science, and interior design.

Key forums, such as the “Biocircular Materials” Trend Forum and the “Digital Product Passport: Pathway to Circularity” session, will highlight the role of circular economy models and digital tools in the sustainable transformation of the woodworking sector.

The prestigious interzum award will also return, with new categories such as “Rethinking Resources,” recognizing outstanding product innovations that contribute to sustainability and resource efficiency.

Industry leaders such as Blum, Egger, Hettich, Häfele, and numerous others will present their cutting-edge solutions, underlining the international relevance of interzum 2025 as a platform for the latest developments in the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industries.
