Interprint builds its tenth production site in Turkiye

Interprint, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of decorative surfaces for the wood-based materials, flooring and furniture industries, has decided to expand its international presence with further growth. Encouraging its growth, the company has decided to build its tenth production site in Turkiye.

The start of construction is scheduled for April 2024, and production is set to begin in the first quarter of 2026. In the future, customers in Turkiye and the Middle East will benefit from an even closer proximity, shorter delivery times and even faster responses to their requirements.

“Turkiye is one of the most important markets for us. It is therefore logical for us to expand our production there as part of our organic growth strategy,” explains Jens Bauer, CEO at Interprint. Interprint Group, which operates internationally, sees great potential in Turkiye and the entire Middle East and would like to use the new production site to work even more closely with its customers, offer more service and simply be closer to the local people.

Interprint has chosen the Gebkim industrial estate in Gebze as the location for the new plant. From 2026, Interprint will start with two gravure printing machines, its own engraving facility and a showroom in the 24,000 m2 space. There, customers will be able to experience Interprint’s new decors, lifestyle worlds and enjoy style advice from the decor experts.

With the new production site, Interprint will be able to reduce delivery times even further. It will be able to offer larger quantities and respond more quickly to requests for changes in the product range. This new growth will for sure further enhance and improve the service, while making it even more customer-centered.

The comapany print decor papers with wood, stone and other creative designs that are further processed for use as surfaces for furniture and laminate flooring or wood-based materials for interior design. Interprint’s product portfolio includes decor papers and finish foils, melamine films, water-resistant foils and other product innovations – produced using gravure printing or industrial digital printing.

With more than 1,500 employees at 9 production sites worldwide, Interprint is one of the leading international decor printers. “Think global, act local” – this has been Interprint’s philosophy for more than 50 years. Since 2019, the company has been part of the Japanese Toppan Group, which increases the variety of products and technical possibilities.
