From June 9 to 12, visit the SCM Group stand to explore the latest innovations across the wood processing industry. Together with their experts, one can experience the new Accord 500 edge machining centre in operation, featuring advanced edge banding technology, and discover a fully integrated portfolio of cutting-edge machinery, software, and digital services designed to address the challenges of an increasingly dynamic and competitive global market.

At Xylexpo, SCM delivers a fully tailored experience, presenting each innovation within automated, integrated, end-to-end processes dedicated to every application area in secondary wood processing.

The spotlight at the exhibition will be on the Accord 500 Edge, the newest addition to the SCM Accord range. This advanced CNC machining centre is a complete, multifunctional solution that integrates edge banding technology, demonstrating SCM Group’s capability to address increasingly sophisticated production demands across both solid wood processing and the furniture industry.

Designed for medium to large enterprises, the Accord 500 Edge delivers high performance, flexibility, and efficiency. Its versatility makes it ideal for applications in contract furniture, bedroom furniture, as well as the marine and caravan sectors. Engineered for just-in-time manufacturing, the machine consolidates the functionalities of an advanced factory into a single, highly integrated solution.

Among its key strengths is the H80C “Compact” edge banding unit, equipped with multiple tool, glue, edge and pressure element magazines, enabling fast and reliable automatic changeovers between different machining operations. The independent operating units ensure high productivity even in limited spaces, while the extraction systems guarantee maximum cleanliness and efficiency in all operating conditions. The model on display is equipped with the SCM Maestro software suite, featuring the Maestro active interface, along with the Maestro lab CAD/CAM programming software, designed to simplify and further enhance the efficiency of production process management.

In addition, the new accord 500 edge is enhanced with Maestro lab edge software, a dedicated CAD/CAM solution for the entire panel edge banding process, enabling full management of all edges and their related application strategies.

Software, MES-MOM and Digital Services

At Xylexpo 2026, SCM will present a new development model in which competitive advantage is no longer tied to a single machine or system, but to the ability to integrate them into connected, flexible and sustainable production systems. In this context, great emphasis will be placed on the SCM integrated service ecosystem, designed to deliver greater efficiency, more stable operational control and continuous production uptime. At the core of this modular architecture is WinMES, SCM’s Manufacturing Execution System developed in partnership with Tecnest, which integrates and interprets real-time data, optimising production flows and enhancing control over the entire process.

Factory intelligence is further enhanced by Smart Spindle, the advanced spindle sensor system that enables predictive analysis and helps prevent unplanned machine downtime.

Significant focus will also be placed on IoT Solution, SCM’s renewed digital platform that enables smarter, more sustainable and data-driven processes, providing access to next-generation proactive services with tangible benefits: +20% efficiency, +30% product quality and -30% operating costs. To protect the entire ecosystem, SCM will also present its Cybersecurity solution, ensuring the security of data, processes and infrastructures.

As for product software, Xylexpo will showcase new features of the Maestro 3D module for nesting machining centres, enabling users to recognise and generate all machining operations with a single click, saving time during the programming phase. This development fully expresses its potential when combined with the enhanced Maestro nesting optimisation algorithm, which allows the import of 3D cabinet files without the need to pre-programme all machining operations, optimising processes and reducing waste thanks to more compact cutting patterns.

Technology and solutions for every production need

For joinery applications, the “blade off” system will once again take centre stage at the exhibition, combined with SCM sliding table saws and designed to enhance operator safety through an intelligent detection system and an efficient blade retraction mechanism.

In addition to the solutions on display, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the entire SCM offering together with its technology experts: machines and systems for every stage of the production process and for all major application sectors, from furniture and window/door manufacturing to timber construction and surface finishing, up to advanced joinery. Also in the spotlight are SCM Engineering solutions and the integrated automation and advanced robotics systems developed by Tecno Logica, designed to support very high production capacities, even in environments with high variability and complexity.

During Xylexpo, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the SCM-Superfici Technology Centre in Villasanta (MB), just 30 minutes from Rho Milano. A unique experience to explore a wide range of SCM technologies: not only Superfici solutions dedicated to finishing, but also other Group technologies, completing our customers’ production processes.

From June 9 to 12, the Technology Centre will be open every day to welcome visitors and offer live demonstrations on all the machines on display.
