At the official inauguration on February 22, 2022, the international sales director of imos AG, Ingo Bathe, happily recollected the successful winning of the first Indian customer, almost 20 years ago who is still with them and the fact that “India is an important part of our strategy”. However, since the technology was not easily scalable at that time, imos had to learn and understand the needs of the customers in India.
The real trend of imos software came during the last 6-8 years. “We have strengthened our sales and service activities by our industry partners. This applied particularly to the core technology for design and production technologies. But now India and the furniture industry is much further than 10 years ago. Core functions like CAD CAM are our day –to-day business and it’s going very, very well. However, customers are becoming more and more demanding and want solutions from sales to integration of complex systems and company strategy demands.”
