More technology on a smaller budget: The features that until now were available as individually selectable options for the smallest HOMAG sanding machines are now being bundled together in new equipment packages from HOMAG. Users of the entry-level SANDTEQ W-100 sanding machine (previously known as the SWT 100) can now choose between the “Performance” and “Advanced” packages. Features previously available as add-ons are already included in the new package price.
Users have five different packages to choose from: two packages for the single-belt version and three packages for the two-belt version. All equipment packages include the following features:
• Roller table at infeed and outfeed
• Brush unit with finish brush
• Activation for the external automatic extraction slide
• UPS emergency power for the sanding belt oscillation
• Electro-pneumatic segmented pressure beams (EPS) with 35-mm grid for the combination sanding unit
The “Advanced” packages include the following additional features: frequency-controlled cutting speed of 2–18 m/s, a second sanding element (0.36 felt) plus the adjustable sanding belt blow-off device (BVR). With these features, users have everything they need to sand paint to the usual HOMAG quality standard using a grain size of up to 400.
Premiere: New machine design, new product names
In the spring of 2017, the HOMAG Group combined almost all of its existing brands under the single HOMAG name. The primary aim was to make collaboration with customers even more straightforward and efficient. This focused orientation gave rise to the new slogan “YOUR SOLUTION,” meaning that the customer and their personal solution is at the heart of everything our employees do.
Now HOMAG is taking the next step: As part of the effort to organize the group’s wide product range as clearly as possible for customers around the world, HOMAG will soon present an overhauled, group-wide brand identity at the HOLZ-HANDWERK fair. This includes a fresh, modern machine design across all products and new, consistent and coordinated product names, ensuring that HOMAG customers can find what they need quickly and easily. Visitors can find these machines, previously assigned the SWT designation, under the name SANDTEQ at the HOLZ-HANDWERK trade fair.
