HOMAG Group completes the acquisition of Kallesøe Machinery

May 7, 2025

At the close of April 2025, the HOMAG Group purchased the remaining 29.4% of Kallesøe Machinery A/S’s shares. In 2021, HOMAG already owned 70.6% of the Danish system developer creating solutions for the engineered wood sector. Board plywood, often referred to as cross-laminated timber (CLT), is produced by Kallesoe using high-frequency presses and is utilized, among other things, to build the walls of timber homes.

The Kallesøe family, which still retains a stake in Kallesøe Machinery A/S’s administration, sold the remaining 29.4% to HOMAG Group AG. Kristian Kallesøe, CEO, stresses: “HOMAG is a very reliable partner for us, with whom we can continue to expand our market position in the future.”

HOMAG, in a nutshell

The HOMAG Group is the most prominent supplier of integrated production solutions for woodworking shops and the woodworking industry worldwide. The company is a unique system supplier with 14 specialised production locations, over 60 exclusive sales partners worldwide, and about 20 Group-owned sales and service organisations. Since October 2014, the Dürr Group has held a majority stake in the HOMAG Group.
