HOMAG Care invests 4,000 euros for Bavaria project

 Tuesday, September 18, 2018

HOMAG-The proceeds for the showpieces at the HOLZ-HANDWERK 2018 went to an extraordinary organization in Bavaria, which supports regional projects that urgently need financial help: The “Willibald Schmidt Foundation Beilngries” in Bavaria.

With the HOMAG Cares initiative, HOMAG as a company is doing well in several places: exceptional and practical demonstration parts produced at trade fairs find their place in the home of trade fair visitors – at the same time the proceeds of these parts benefit people or organizations that are facing challenges stand and need the money urgently.

As part of “HOMAG Cares”, 2,000 euros were donated at the HOLZ-HANDWERK 2018 trade fair in Nuremberg, which were doubled by HOMAG after the show. The donation of 4,000 euros went to an extraordinary organization in Bavaria, which supports regional projects that urgently need financial aid: The “Willibald Schmidt Foundation Beilngries” in Bavaria, near the HOMAG Germany branch in Denkendorf.

Small projects, big impact
The foundation supports a wide range of institutions – predominantly in the vicinity of Beilngries. At its last meeting, the Foundation Council decided to donate a total of more than 25,000 euros to various projects and institutions – including the 4,000 euros of HOMAG. Various sums were donated, among others, to the St. Francis Kindergarten Beilngries, the Wasserwachtjungend Dietfurt or various schools and funding associations.

Board member Eduard Liebscher is very pleased to be able to support the organizations and clubs in his area: “It always brings joy to support the facilities. Often we can achieve something big even with small amounts. “. The donation was handed over by Karl-Heinz Brauneisen, head of the Denkendorf branch. “We are impressed by the range of facilities supported by the Willibald Schmidt Foundation. And you just know that every penny here in our region arrives where it’s needed. ”

The Willibald Schmidt Foundation
The foundation with its seat in Beilngries is recognized by the state as a legal public foundation under civil law. The purpose of the foundation is the “promotion of education and the arts, culture and heritage protection, youth and elderly care, environmental protection and landscape and species protection, science and research, with emphasis in the city of Beilngries and in the park “Altmühltal”. The foundation was built by Willibald Schmidt from Beilngries, who has been very successful for many years and is known throughout the region.

To the background
For HOMAG, social commitment is part of the corporate culture. For many years, the initiative HOMAG Cares has been part of fairs and events – distributed all over the globe and always with the support of charitable institutions in the foreground. The cornerstone of the idea was created in 2008 in India – over 200 pieces of furniture were produced at trade fairs with HOMAG machines and then donated to schools. The most recent donation after the LIGNA 2017 went to the organization “Future Chances – For Kids and Poor in Tanzania (ped-world e.V.)”, where HOMAG supports the expansion and establishment of a school to provide poor children with a good education.
