HASSLACHER Group acquires Holzbau Hofer

HASSLACHER Group acquires Holzbau Hofer GmbH, an enterprise that specialises in building with wood and was established in Nußdorf-Debant, East Tyrol, by Erich Hofer in 1984. The business, which currently belongs to the Unionbau Group with headquarters in South Tyrol, employs about 40 employees and is distinguished by skilled artisans and a dedicated planning division.

“Holzbau Hofer GmbH is a real jewel in timber construction”, says Dr. Thomas Ausserhofer, Managing Director of Unionbau AG and Holzbau Hofer GmbH. “When we took over Holzbau Hofer, we were convinced of the skills and passion of the employees. Construction requires passion and that is exactly what the great team at Holzbau Hofer has. Since the Austrian market is no longer our goal as the Unionbau group of companies, we have been looking for a strong partner for Holzbau Hofer. The order books are full and we are convinced that the company is now in the right hands with the HASSLACHER Group for further successful development.” According to Christoph Kulterer, CEO and owner of the HASSLACHER Group, the acquisition of Holzbau Hofer GmbH is a crucial step for the HASSLACHER Group’s further business growth. They expressed gladness at the improvement in staff skill and experience and look forward to pioneering new territory with them. Given that the HASSLACHER Group intends to increase its knowledge of engineering and industrial prefabrication, a partnership with Holzbau Hofer GmbH is predicted to be successful. The management of Holzbau Hofer GmbH will be assumed by Gerhard Göritzer, head of the glued timber division, who has previously successfully led our operations in Sachsenburg, Stall im Mölltal, and also in Magdeburg.
