Flex-Elektroinstrumente GmbH assists in cutting wood and panel materials on site, and the need ends with a flexible cordless hand-held circular saw that enables exact saw cuts in different materials regardless of the cable and socket. They have introduced two new models that can do this.

Flex-Elektroinstrumente GmbH has two different models for mobile use: the cordless hand-held circular saw CS 62 18.0 EC for classic applications and the compact cordless hand-held circular saw CS 45 18.0 EC as a flexible universal saw. Both cordless hand-held circular saws come with the proven Flex CA 10.8/18.0 quick charger for 18.0 and 10.8 battery packs – users only need one charger for all cordless tools for mobile use.

“The CS 62 18.0-EC offers high precision for different material thicknesses, for example in kitchen construction, where clean cuts are required for thick and solid worktops,” explains Flex product manager Ralf Paertmann. The CS 62 18.0-EC cordless hand-held circular saw with a saw blade diameter of 165 mm is specially designed for classic applications in dry construction and renovation. The brushless 18.0V EC motor with high efficiency realizes reliable saw cuts through gypsum and concrete fiber boards as well as through wooden materials such as formwork panels and chipboard or OSB boards with cutting depths of up to 62mm. The matching GRS guide rail with anodised sliding coating and guide rib is available in lengths of 800 or 1,600 mm and also supports angle cuts. The adjustable angle scale from 0 to 50° allows an exactly adjustable pre-adjustment of 22.5, 45 and 50°. The swivel range of up to 50° and a scoring function for perfect visible edges offer the best conditions for perfectly coordinated undercuts.

The swiveling pendulum hood with double-clamp swivel element ensures reliable work safety, which prevents the saw blade from jamming when making angle cuts and thus prevents the risk of kickback. The integrated electronic management system with overload protection and temperature monitoring protects the machine, extends its service life and increases efficiency. The CS 62 18.0-EC also ensures cleanliness and a good view of the workpiece by means of a connection for external dust extraction or a step adapter. In addition, a chip collection bag can be attached without tools. The spindle lock offers additional working comfort: for quick saw blade changes and an LED battery capacity display.
