Firefly appoints Angélica Ayala and Juan Manuel Sánchez Molina, new colleagues who will be working with customers of the company across Europe. They share their career journeys, current roles, and a glimpse into what they enjoy outside of work.
Angélica Ayala
Prior to joining Firefly, she worked at Scantech, providing support to customers in the mining industry to optimise their quality control processes through the implementation of high-precision, real-time measurement technologies. Before that, she held the position of Instrumentation and Automation Chief at a cement plant, where Angélica was responsible for process control, automation systems, and equipment reliability. She currently serves as Firefly’s Area Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland.
“In this role, I support customers in protecting their operations from fire by identifying and implementing the most suitable technical solutions. My focus is on ensuring safe and continuous operations, safeguarding people, assets, and the environment. In my spare time, I enjoy functional training and regularly attend the gym.”
Juan Molina
Previously, Juan worked as a Partner Sales Manager at Dassault Systèmes, serving as the main point of contact for their resellers and providing them with the support they needed. In her new role as Area Customer Manager for Spain and Portugal, she is responsible for managing relationships with their existing customers in the region, providing support and expanding their fire prevention and protection solutions across production facilities.
“I’m a city person and a foodie, which means I love exploring new cities, from historic streets to modern neighborhoods, and trying the local dishes along the way. At home, I enjoy spending evenings with my partner, either playing board games or catching up on the latest season of our favorite series.”
Firefly is an international fire protection company that has been helping industrial operations protect their processes from costly damage and downtime due to fires and dust explosions since 1973.
Firefly’s systems react rapidly. Dangerous particles in a process flow can be detected and extinguished within milliseconds, before a fire or a dust explosion builds. Their detectors can find hot particles before these even start to glow. Firefly’s Quick Suppression System detects and extinguish flames in open areas and around machinery, at the earliest stage of an outbreak.
All components in the systems are optimised for rapid reaction, stopping fire and sources of ignition from developing. Prioritising rapid reaction in all component parts is what makes Firefly’s systems the fastest in the market.
