The Felix Schoeller Group is expanding its packaging product portfolio. With PrimePaper and FlexPaper, it offers sustainable packaging solutions with high paper quality, excellent printability and optimal product protection for a wide variety of applications. The specialty paper manufacturer with headquarters in Osnabrück is presenting its new portfolio for the first time at this year’s Fachpack trade fair in Nuremberg.
With PrimePaper, the Osnabrück-based specialty paper manufacturer is launching an environmentally friendly printing base made from renewable FSC-certified raw materials. PrimePaper offers flexible packaging the option of differentiation at the point of sale. The print carrier can be printed with the established printing processes of gravure and flexographic printing – if required, with a special coating for fully variable inkjet and indigo digital printing. The product is optimized for single-pass high-speed inkjet printing machines.
FlexPaper is the name of the second innovation from the Felix Schoeller Group. FlexPaper is a secure paper composite that is manufactured using a multi-layer co-extrusion process or extrusion lamination. Common requirements for packaging are adapted to the protection needs of the filling goods through individually adjustable barrier properties, seal seam strength and puncture resistance – regardless of whether they are liquid, fresh, dry or frozen. FlexPaper is ideal for flexographic and gravure printing as well as indigo and inkjet printing. Paper laminates are also available with individually designed viewing windows on request.
