Felder prepares to showcase innovations at Drema Trade Fair 2024

For the 24th time, the Felder Group is presenting its cutting-edge woodworking solutions at the Drema Trade Fair in Poznań, Poland. This year, Felder’s exhibit spans over 500 square meters, featuring almost 40 machines from its well-known Hammer, Felder, and Format4 brands. The wide array of machinery on display highlights the diversity of dimensions, technical capabilities, and price points, making it one of the most comprehensive showcases at the event.

Focus on User-Centric Innovation

Felder’s 2024 exhibit is centered on providing visitors with hands-on experiences of its latest technological advancements, emphasizing user-friendly innovations that enhance precision, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency. Felder’s machines are designed to simplify woodworking tasks, reduce maintenance, and improve safety for operators.

One of the key highlights is the PCS® (Preventive Contact System) Safety System for panel saws, available on the Kappa 550 Format4 panel saw. This globally recognised safety feature prevents serious accidents by detecting hazards before a user’s hand reaches the saw blade, lowering the unit below the table within milliseconds. This non-contact safety system is maintenance-free and operates without additional sensors, providing unmatched safety for woodworking professionals.

Silent-Power® Spiral Cutterblock

Also featured at the show is the Silent-Power® Spiral Cutterblock, a solution that significantly reduces cutting noise by half while providing splinter-free planing for all types of wood. Exclusive to Felder, Format4, and Hammer planers, this cutterblock enhances chip removal efficiency and offers up to 20 times longer service life than conventional blades, making it a must-have for precision and durability in woodworking.

Live Production Demonstrations

Felder is offering live demonstrations to show how its machines can work together to produce a complete cabinet, from design to finished product. Visitors can witness the integration of the F4Design software, the Kappa Automatic 85 Edition panel saw, the Profit H350R 5-axis CNC machining center, and the Tempora 60.12 e-motion edge banding machine. These machines communicate seamlessly, minimizing errors and showcasing how production automation can be effectively implemented in small and medium-sized carpentry businesses.

New Releases: G 383 Edge Bander and F4Vision AR Technology

Among the new products at Felder’s stand is the Felder G 383 edge banding machine, featuring a touchscreen monitor for easy operation. The machine offers a range of functions, from pre-milling to corner rounding and additional finishing options like profile scraping and polishing.

Felder is also introducing F4Vision AR technology, a new virtual dimension for woodworking. This Augmented Reality system, integrated with CNC machine control software, assists operators by displaying virtual elements in real time. The AR glasses provide crucial machine parameters and positions for precise operation, offering enhanced efficiency and support during maintenance or servicing.

Felder’s Flagship Panel Saws

As sliding table saws are one of Felder’s signature products, the company is showcasing seven models, including the updated Kappa 450 X-motion by Format4. Known for its precision and award-winning design, this machine is equipped with intuitive x-motion “smartouch” control, a 10-inch color touchscreen, and advanced tool positioning systems. With multiple table lengths and cutting height adjustments, it is designed for professional carpenters looking to optimize their workflows.

Live Demonstrations with Michał Szczurek

Adding to the excitement, YouTuber Michał Szczurek from ARGO Woodcraft will conduct live demonstrations at the Felder stand, showcasing the K945 S sliding table saw, as well as other Felder equipment. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the machines in action, with Michał sharing his insights and expertise from a fully equipped carpentry workshop.

Felder’s comprehensive display at Drema 2024 underscores the company’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art machinery and solutions for the woodworking industry. With innovations in safety, efficiency, and automation, Felder is setting new standards for carpenters and furniture makers worldwide.
