Fagus-GreCon all set to participate in LIGNA.Innovation Network

 Monday, September 13, 2021

Fagus-GreCon has been participating in the international leading trade fair of the wood based panel industry, LIGNA since its very inception and is now looking forward to participate about this new digital format of the LIGNA.Innovation Network. With a triad of exhibition, conference and networking, the Deutsche Messe Hannover will offer this new digital platform to the wood-based panel industry to make contact with existing and potential customers possible between September 27 and 29, 2021.

Speaking about participating in this digital edition, Uwe Kahmann, Managing Director of Fagus-GreCon remarked, “the LIGNA is one of the most important platforms to have a personal exchange with our customers and partners of the wood based panel industry. It is not possible to replace this personal contact completely by a digital format. We will use it in addition to the trade fairs with personal attendance which will hopefully be possible in the near future to present our once more very innovative, customer-oriented product highlights and solutions.”

Grecon will be focusing primarily on digitisation – for the preventive fire protection as well as the measuring technology. Due to the corona pandemics, digital tools are more intensively used also in the after-sales-service. The travel restrictions often prevent our service technicians from visiting the customers and supporting them for problem solution on. But thanks to the use of the modern communication technology in connection with the Augmented Reality (AR), spatial distances can be overcome by digital tools without any problems. With the technical aids, the technicians see everything through the eyes of the customer and can provide specific support and instructions to eliminate the problem.

Another focus of the measuring technology is a sustainable handling of resources. The efficient use of materials and energy has special preference. The GreCon 3D PARTICLEVIEW for example records the geometry of the chips which are necessary to produce a wood based panel. The objective measurement of the chip geometry makes a specific correction of the settings at the measuring ring chipper possible to achieve an optimal geometry which reduces the required glue quantity. An innovation which shows a positive feedback from the industry already now.
