With a €200 million investment, EGGER‘s 22nd plant in Markt Bibart is on track to become a state-of-the-art site focusing on sustainability, upgrading, automatisation and technology.

Key milestones reached so far:

By autumn 2026, this multi-stage project will be complete – creating around 70 new jobs and advancing their circular, resource-efficient strategy.

EGGER wants thank their employees, partners, and the local community for making this progress possible.

EGGER appreciates the chance to share their story and highlight how Austrian companies are contributing to local growth and innovation. Wherever their employees work – in manufacturing, recycling or in an office environment – people at EGGER know how their role contributes to building a future.

Nature inspires their approach: Their processes are cycles designed to save resources. EGGER recycles and devise solutions that bind the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide as long as possible, lowering their carbon footprint. Also, the company starts trends with creative designs. That’s how they generate excitement and interest in their products. Those same products bring consumers happiness for years to come. By emphasising transparency, EGGER helps deliver sustainable products to thousands of people around the world.

EGGER thinks about sustainable management extensively

The EGGER Group takes responsibility for its products, its production and also for its employees and society. Their sustainability management is based on a clear, group-wide strategy. EGGER is committed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and have defined five strategic priorities based on them. Also, they provide comprehensive insights into their objectives, measures and achievements. For them, sustainable action is by no means a mere duty.

EGGER also focuses on innovative projects. Micro Living and Circular Living are strong trends that are redefining how we live. In cooperation with Häfele, the Nagold (DE) specialist for intelligent furniture and construction hardware, lighting and electronic locking systems, EGGER has brought these trends to life under the name “The Moving Tree” in the form of an oversized tree trunk that can be walked on and lived in. The concept demonstrates the possibilities of flexible, comfortable living in the smallest of spaces.
