Dubai WoodShow witnesses a prospective edition

dubaiThe 12th edition of Dubai WoodShow (DWS 2017) has witnessed a promising future of woodworking industry. The show was an encouraging platform to the worldwide exhibitors. The 1st edition of Dubai International Furniture Accessories & Components & Semi-Finished Products Show (DIFAC 2017) was launched on March 7 by HE Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Department of Economic Development. The show was held from March 7 March 9 2017 in Dubai at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

The launch also witnessed the esteemed presence of HE Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre and many other high-profile dignitaries and official visitors from both public and private sectors.

 

At the opening ceremony, HE Sami Al Qamzi walked through the different exhibition halls and met with representatives of the participant companies, who had an opportunity to display and explain their products and special offerings . HE Al Qamzi lauded the efforts of the organisers for conducting a show of this repute and also acknowledged their valuable contribution to making Dubai a hub for such international events.

 

The Dubai WoodShow is one of the biggest events of the industry in the region and across the world. This year’s edition witnessed the largest participation, in terms of visitors, exhibitors and the exhibition space. In addition, the organisers anticipate more than 300 exhibitors from over 100 countries to visit the show. The total area of the exhibition is 17388 square meters, offered exhibiting the companies a chance to display their products and offerings in a vast setting.

 

On day one exhibiting companies at the show had a chance to showcase new products which meet customer demands and needs. While, the representatives of the companies interacted with the visitors, sharing information about their products, they also provided their best offers and deals to the potential customers to draw sales.

 

This year’s edition of Dubai WoodShow witnessed participation from key industry players as – ACIMALL, AFEMMA, AIMSAD, American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and ATIBT.

 

As the first industry-specific show, visitors were also exploring some of the best practices and insights of the industry. In addition, the introduction of DIFAC at Dubai WoodShow served as a strategic platform for visitors to view and experience the latest technologies and innovations in the industry.
The show has also connected the manufacturers, suppliers and consumers, allowing companies to enter into business deals and agreements.

 

The first day of DIFAC 2017 showcased the latest innovations in the furniture industry, with over 300 exhibitors from 100 countries. In addition, 1000 experts were invited to present their insights and key learning of the industry. DIFAC 2017 targeted the interior design market which was estimated to experience a surge of over AED 32.5 billion regionally.

 

The new show followed the latest trends in furniture industry. As customers are more concerned about quality and comfort along with sustainability, DIFAC 2017 showcased eco-friendly furniture products which served the global customer needs.

 

Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions, organizers of both shows stated that this year the show has aimed for a higher international reach to be one of the main industry-specific events worldwide.

The first day of DIFAC witnessed several deals and agreement between visitors and the participant companies. Connecting the suppliers with the consumers, the show served as a perfect platform to discuss and drive sales for the industry.
