DREMA 2018 to highlight more of Industry 4.0

 Wednesday, July 25, 2018

dremaEach year, Poznań becomes the hub of the wood and furniture industry for four days, and DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines and Tools for the Wood and Furniture Industries marks the changes, trends and direction in which the industry is heading. Slated between September 11 and 14, 2018, DREMA aims to keep up with the changes resulting from the development of the economy and, consequently, to be in line with the idea of Industry 4.0, which has already established itself in the minds of Polish and world entrepreneurs.

According to Andrzej Półrolniczak, the DREMA trade fair director, “In September Poznań will concentrate on the dissemination of the concept behind the fourth industrial revolution, especially as regards the furniture industry. The focus will be on the digitization, integration and automation of technological processes, whilst DREMA exhibitors will showcase machines, equipment, technological solutions and software in accordance with the concept of Industry 4.0.”

This year’s exhibition DREMA 2018 will encompass 7 exhibition halls (3, 3A, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 8 and the outdoor area), the fair will be participated in by market leaders from 25 countries, who will present technologies of tomorrow dedicated to the wood, forest and furniture industries!

“According to the statistics, 2017 was a record-high year for furniture manufacturing in Poland; the value of sold production amounted to PLN 41.8 billion and is still on the rise. Innovative machine and technology solutions undoubtedly play an important role and the best way to get to know them is to take a look at them live at DREMA. That’s why, when it comes to the future of the industry and, hence, DREMA, I am calm and optimistic. Furniture manufacturing in Poland is still growing, the industry is developing, manufacturers are seeing an increasing number of orders. However, there is a lack of qualified staff, which means that many factories are increasingly relying on production automation to both increase their production capacity and optimize their delivery times. Therefore, on one hand, participation in DREMA is an excellent opportunity to present new products and improved solutions. On the other hand, to get familiar with a wide range of companies from the industry and current trends,” highlights Andrzej Półrolniczak, DREMA director.

Along with industry partners, the DREMA organizers are constantly looking for ever newer solutions and interesting topics that may be of interest to professionals. Apart from the events that have accompanied DREMA so far (6th KOOPDREW Wood Industry Congress, Drema for Children, Wood Promotion Pavilion, Parquet Zone, Knowledge and Consulting Zone, Conjured from Wood competition, 17th Polish Championships in Nail Hammering, Lacquering Showroom), this year will see an increase in the number of existing partners who will prepare extremely interesting events within the trade fair space: live studio Dom iDrewno (Home and Wood) and Clash of Champions competition, Pellet Academy, OHS Zone, InfoTEC Workshop furniture manufacturing workshops, DREMA Tools, a new formula of B2B Wood Meetings or a valuable offering presented by the State Forests. The concept initiated at the previous edition of the Design in Wood Exhibition will be transformed into the DREMA DESIGN project, which will allow for a wider presentation of the possibilities of using wood and wood-based materials for artistic inspirations.
