DACH+HOLZ International-2026 event

When DACH+HOLZ International comes to the Cologne Exhibition Center on February 24–27, 2026, Cologne will once more serve as the hub for the European roofing and timber construction industries. The event, which is widely acknowledged as the prestigious trade show for roofers, carpenters, and building envelope specialists, is expected to provide a much-needed in-person reunion for a sector that continues to be tenacious, inventive, and forward-thinking.

Industry anticipation for the 2026 edition is exceptionally high, reflecting strong market confidence across roofing, carpentry, and timber engineering. Feedback from exhibitors and trade professionals has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing DACH+HOLZ International’s reputation as the central networking and knowledge-sharing platform for the sector. Many prominent manufacturers and solution providers committed early, sending a clear signal of industry-wide support.

Confirmed exhibitors include major international and regional players such as Paul Bauder, Böcker Maschinenwerke, Deutsche Rockwool, Enke-Werk, Festool, James Hardie, Ladenburger Holzwerke, Mafell, Nelskamp, Prefa, Roto, Saint-Gobain Isover, Schechtl Maschinenbau, Steico, Velux, Weinmann Holzbausystemtechnik, Wienerberger, and Würth. Their participation underlines the trade fair’s importance as a launchpad for new products, technologies, and systems shaping the future of construction.

DACH+HOLZ International 2026 will focus strongly on sustainability, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, occupational safety, and workforce development, while maintaining its core emphasis on practical exchange. The event’s concept goes beyond traditional exhibitions by encouraging active participation. Visitors will be invited to test tools, explore materials, engage directly with experts, and take part in discussions that address real-world challenges faced by construction professionals.

Three dedicated workspace areas will form the interactive heart of the event. The “Future Workspace” in Hall 6 will explore innovation, digital workflows, and emerging technologies. In Hall 8, the “Retention Roof Workspace” will spotlight water retention, green roofing systems, and solutions addressing urban climate resilience. Meanwhile, the “Plumbing Craft Workspace” will operate as a live workshop environment, featuring practical demonstrations and lectures delivered in collaboration with the Würzburg Master School of Plumbing.

The exhibition will span Halls 6, 7, 8, and 9, as well as an outdoor area, with each hall dedicated to specific themes. Hall 6 will focus on pitched and flat roofing systems, Hall 7 will highlight timber construction and insulation in cooperation with Holzbau Baden-Württemberg, Hall 8 will cover plumbing technology, IT, green roofs, and waterproofing, while Hall 9 will showcase fastening technology, tools, and a dedicated start-up area. Key industry partners, including Holzbau Deutschland, ZVDH, regional roofing associations, and BG Bau, will be strategically positioned to foster collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Cologne’s role as host city further enhances the event’s appeal. The region is economically strong in the construction trades, offers excellent transport connections, and features a high concentration of specialised companies. This creates an environment that encourages professional exchange not only within the exhibition halls but throughout the city.

As the trade fair for green building, building envelope solutions, and structural timber construction, DACH+HOLZ International 2026 promises a dynamic atmosphere filled with hands-on experiences, innovative ideas, and meaningful personal interaction—cementing its status as a must-attend event for the roofing and construction industries.
