CLT Toolbox rebranded as SPEC Toolbox

It feels like outgrowing their first home. What started with a clear focus on making CLT easy to specify has grown bigger and faster than they could have imagined.​ Technically, they started with CLT, but have since added glulam, screws, brackets, and have more exciting, innovative product launches from their supply chain just weeks away. Geographically, they started in Australia and New Zealand, but are now active across Europe and the UK, with their first version for the USA and Canada launching in just a few weeks. ​

​For this reason, CLT Toolbox is now excited for their rebrand into SPEC Toolbox!!!​

​The mission is to make “innovation easy to specify”. For engineers, this means easy to spec innovation. For suppliers, it’s a platform that gives the professionals confidence that if someone is eager to create incredible products, their platform makes it easy to get that product specc’d. ​

​Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) represents a major innovation in the construction industry, and it was the ideal entry point for the platform. The mass timber industry, with CLT at its core, is an “embodiment of this innovation,” driving a much-needed shift towards more sustainable and cost-efficient construction.​

In February 2025, CLT Toolbox officially brough its advanced mass timber design software to Europe and the UK. Designed to revolutionize timber engineering, the platform boasts features tailored to meet the unique demands of the European market.
