CIFM/interzum guangzhou 2022 will be moved to July 26 to 29 following the COVID-19 measures released by the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau in March. The event will continue to be held concurrently with the China International Furniture Fair Phase II (Office Show) at the Canton Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, which was originally slated to take place from March 28-31.

These new dates also mean more preparation time for the organizers to welcome some 2,100 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and regions to showcase their cutting-edge products. Spanning across 340,000 square meters, the show is expected to pull in more than 200,000 trade visitors.

According to latest figures, China’s economy has developed steadily in 2021 with its GDP reaching 114 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.1 per cent.

Further, data from the China Furniture Association registered 6,647 furniture enterprises of considerable scale last year with a cumulative operating income of 800.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.5 per cent; and a cumulative output of 1.12 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 14.01 per cent.

The international halls established by CIFM/interzum guangzhou aims to allow show attendees to have a deeper understanding of the innovation capabilities of global furniture accessories, as well as the intelligent manufacturing and digital development of production equipment.

As the primary trade platform connecting the upstream and downstream of the Asian furniture industry, CIFM/interzum guangzhou is poised to create an opportunity for the reunion of the industry and boost the development of the home furnishing industry.

After five years of development, a major highlight of CIFM/interzum guangzhou – the “20 PLUS 20” Annual List Award – has become an authoritative reference for the Asian furniture manufacturing industry, and a witness to the continuous improvement of the global furniture manufacturing industry.

As special consultants to the 2021-2022 Annual List Award selection, Mr. Dick Spierenburg, founder of Spierenburg Studio and creative director of imm Cologne, as well as Hon.-Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters, renowned European material expert and founder of HAUTE INNOVATION handpicked 20 winning furniture accessory and interior decoration products from a host of innovative nominations. All award-winning companies will be honored with much fanfare during the exhibition.
