CERATIZIT receives innovation award

 Tuesday, March 29, 2016

logo-ceratizitTool manufacturer QSGS Technology has received the Polish ‘Gold Medal Award’ for innovation for the recently developed Armoth Professional CTE band saw. The product features carbide saw tips from Toolmaker Solutions by CERATIZIT. For this joint project CERATIZIT recommended the carbide grade KCR10. The wear-resistant saw tips with various geometries can be brazed to the saw band, reground and easily replaced. This solution reduces maintenance costs while increasing the service life of the band saw.

The high breakage and wear resistance of the carbide saw tips means that the band saw can be used for longer before it has to be sharpened again. In addition, the rolls no longer have to be readjusted during operation. “The innovative solution we developed together with CERATIZIT has allowed for an increase in the saw’s service life by 500% on average,” underlines Jan Klepuszewski from QSGS Technology.

The saw band is the first joint project in the three years of cooperation between the two companies. “In the fields of development and production we work only with premium partners and use exclusively high-quality materials,” explains Jan Klepuszewski from QSGS. “With Toolmaker Solutions by CERATIZIT we have found a partner who always acts in a creative and solution-oriented way and is able to deliver products with maximum quality.” Confirmation of the successful cooperation is the ‘Gold Medal Award’ the band saw received at DREMA 2015 in Poznan. It was nominated as one of the twelve most innovative products at the international exhibition for machines and tools for the wood and furniture industry
