BSW launches new brand in a fresh way. BSW Group is one of the UK’s largest integrated forest and sawmilling groups that recently unveils BSW’s new brand with a newer vision, “to see timber in a new light.” The group has united its strengths under a new, overarching brand, BSW Group, in order to create value and sustain long-term growth.
The CEO of BSW Group, Tony Hackney, states, “As the sector’s biggest integrated business, with capabilities including tree nurseries, forestry management, harvesting, production, and energy, we believe we have a responsibility to drive positive change.
Following a period of intense acquisition activity, we commissioned a robust, independent review of our brand and market positioning to guide the actions needed to support a more sustainable future. The feedback we gained has been invaluable. It has inspired our vision to become the most innovative, technologically advanced, and sustainable timber business in the UK.”
The main motive of the new launch is to contribute to a more seamless supply chain, invest in education and inventions, and give people more stability. Following BSW Group’s acquisition by Binderholz on 5th January 2022, the brand’s positioning in the value-added timber market was strengthened with the launch.
Apart from this, Maelor Forest Nurseries, Tilhill, Dick Brothers, BSW Timber, BSW Timber Solutions, Bayram Timber, and BSW Energy continue to function as they used to under the new launch the BSW Group brand.
The group has seven sawmills in the UK – in Newbridge-on-Wye, Southampton, Carlisle, Dalbeattie, Petersmuir, Fort William and Boat of Garten – and one in Riga, Latvia. The headquarters remain in Earlston, Berwickshire, where the business originated.
