Metro Decorative Pvt. Ltd. in India has received a pressurised refining system from the global technology firm ANDRITZ. The medium-density fiberboard production plant in Kashipur has now successfully generated its first fibers using the new line.
Aman Garg, Director, Metro Decorative Pvt. Ltd., states: “We wanted to work together with a company that has deep expertise in the panelboard industry, and our collaboration with ANDRITZ has proven successful. Our new system has already produced its first fibers with exceptional quality at a consistently reliable performance.”
A tested S1050 refiner with 3,300 kW of installed power is part of the pressurised refining system. From wood chips, it can generate 20 bdmt/h of superior fibers. High fiber quality and low electrical and thermal energy consumption are both influenced by an effective pre-steaming system. The scope of delivery also included a 42″ discharger that was easy to maintain, a 16″ plug screw feeder for optimal dewatering before refining, and a novel pressurised digester with a counter flow and steam regulating system.
Plywood, particle boards, MDF boards, MDHMR boards, laminates, and aluminum composite panels are among Metro Decorative Pvt. Ltd.’s specialties. The group’s distinctive manufacturing facilities are situated in Gujarat, Haryana, and Uttarakhand (Kashipur), India.
