SWOOD is a 3D CAD-CAM software developed for woodworking and seamlessly integrated into SOLIDWORKS. As an all-in-one solution, SWOOD allows you to design, produce, and automate your processes in an intuitive and parametric environment. SWOOD has successfully streamlined processes and driven the productivity of many projects worldwide.
Reusing Design Elements
Save time and capitalize on your know-how by creating your own library elements. Save regularly used components that embed predefined rules, and drag and drop them into your 3D projects.
Most common furniture design elements are available in SWOOD libraries (drawers, connectors, materials, etc.). Use intelligent drawers (BLUM, HETTICH, GRASS) that combine a whole range of products in a single component. This feature enables quick and reliable design by automatically applying the best configuration based on the insertion context.
Library components give you the opportunity to reuse complete assemblies to design several projects of the same brand and to create unique layouts in a minimum of time.
Modifications in One Click
Reduce the design revision process when applying last-minute changes according to customer requests or onsite constraints by editing design parameters easily. As a fully parametric design, any modification applied to the 3D models is automatically propagated to all the parts following the defined design rules and keeping consistency on the project.
Point-to-point and Nesting CNC’s
Last-minute design changes are instantly detected on your projects, and toolpaths are updated in programs in one click. Shopfitting involves several furniture to create a complete layout. Linked to the design, our nesting solution detects grain continuity of fronts to nest them next to each other on nesting sheets. This way, you can produce aesthetic furniture which meets customer requirements.
Enhancing Coordination and Data Exchange
The software automatically collects all design element parameters, enabling a project report to be generated for production, including machining programs, hardware requirements, cutting lists, etc. Find out more about SWOOD and how it meets the needs of wood manufacturers in the furniture, vehicle fittings, millwork, and other sectors.
