On April 28, Raute marks the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. At Raute, they recognize SafetyDay with local activities that bring their teams together around an important topic.

At the same time, the day reminds everybody of the continuous work they as a manufacturer do to strengthen their Safety Culture throughout the year.

Raute has been working on several safety initiatives, including:

  • Introduced Golden Safety Rules to establish clear, shared principles for everyday work across Raute, supported by ongoing training for their employees.
  • Integrated safety-by-design and ergonomics into machinery and production solutions through standardization and conceptualization of product lines, supporting safer use and operation.
  • Strengthened safety leadership by engaging managers in regular discussions, safety rounds, and continuous training and coaching.
  • Strengthened site-level risk management through regular safety rounds, 5S audits, and improved hazard assessment processes.
  • Reinforced their Occupational Health and Safety Policy and promoted safety awareness through internal initiatives and their ongoing safety culture program.

“We strengthen ‘Safety at Work’ every day; it’s our daily actions that make the biggest impact.” – Raute.
