WoodTech & MebelExpo Uzbekistan 2026 strengthens Central Asia’s furniture and woodworking market

The WoodTech & MebelExpo Uzbekistan 2026 has reinforced its position as a leading international platform for the furniture and woodworking sectors, bringing together global manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors under one roof. The 22nd edition of the exhibition was held from April 28 to 30, 2026, attracting strong participation from both domestic and international stakeholders.

The exhibition has consistently served as a highly effective platform for business communication, enabling companies to explore partnerships, introduce innovations, and strengthen their presence in Uzbekistan’s growing market. It continues to support industry players seeking access to modern technologies, advanced materials, and evolving design trends.

Market Growth and Industry Dynamics

Uzbekistan remains the largest consumer market in Central Asia, with a population exceeding 37 million, which creates sustained demand for furniture and interior solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments. The country’s furniture and woodworking industry is among the fastest-growing sectors of the economy, largely driven by small and medium-sized enterprises.

Currently, more than 5,000 companies operate within the sector, employing over 300,000 professionals, while domestic production accounts for approximately 90% of total market demand. At the same time, imports continue to complement local manufacturing by offering a wider variety of products and technologies.

Over the past decade, the industry has experienced notable transformation, with improvements in product quality, expanded design capabilities, and increasing alignment with international standards, while both exports and imports of finished furniture have shown consistent annual growth.

Exhibition Highlights

The 2026 edition featured 127 companies and brands from 13 countries, with approximately 72% of exhibitors representing international businesses, reflecting the exhibition’s global appeal and industry relevance. A wide range of product categories was presented, including woodworking machinery, furniture production equipment, raw materials, and components essential for manufacturing processes.

Additional segments included furniture accessories and hardware, as well as surfaces, boards, and panels used in production. Furniture chemicals such as glues, varnishes, and paints were also showcased alongside upholstery solutions, mattresses, and finished home and office furniture collections. Interior decoration products, home appliances, and gift items further expanded the exhibition’s scope.

International participation remained strong, with a national pavilion from Türkiye and a collective stand representing companies from the Ulyanovsk Region of the Russian Federation, while Chinese companies demonstrated extensive involvement across multiple product categories.

Visitor Engagement and Business Impact

The exhibition recorded 4,593 unique visitors and a total of 5,796 visits over three days, indicating steady engagement from industry professionals actively seeking new products, technologies, and partnerships. The event has been widely recognised as an effective tool for market expansion, as it enables exhibitors to promote their offerings, increase sales opportunities, and establish new business relationships.

Positive outcomes have been consistently reported by participants in previous editions, where a significant number of exhibitors confirmed successful negotiations and agreements concluded during the exhibition, further strengthening its reputation as a results-driven platform.

Knowledge Exchange and Programme

An extensive three-day business programme was organised alongside the exhibition, featuring professional seminars, master classes, case sessions, and panel discussions involving leading architects, designers, furniture manufacturers, and international experts. These sessions provided valuable insights into emerging technologies, evolving market trends, and innovative design approaches shaping the future of the industry.

Since its establishment in 2004, WoodTech & MebelExpo Uzbekistan has evolved into the country’s main international exhibition for the furniture and woodworking industry, playing a crucial role in connecting local businesses with global expertise and innovation. The 2026 edition has once again demonstrated its importance as a strategic platform for industry growth, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, ensuring its continued relevance in Central Asia’s expanding furniture market.
