Wood-Mizer Europe expands production and office building in Poland

 Monday, June 14, 2021

Wood-Mizer Industries has recently opened for operation its expanded production and office hall in Poland, which had been in construction since July 2020. With 2,600 m2, the new building additionally expands the company’s total floor area to an impressive 17,000 m2. The new hall workspace is designed for the departments of construction and engineering, research and development, prototypes and tooling, and the marketing team.

On the April 30, 2021, Wood-Mizer held an opening ceremony of the expanded facility, with only a few guests attending who were directly involved with the building project.

At the event hosted by Robert Bagiński, President of Wood-Mizer Industries, visitors watched a short movie showcasing the construction and shared their observations about the expanded facility. All ceremony participants received gifts of gratitude for their efforts and commitment to completing a successful project. Wood-Mizer granted special honors to the leading contractor company Budimex S.A., and the architect-designer office AiG Architekci S.C.

In the other part of the ceremony, the guests went on a facility tour, looking closely at the production area and the offices designed for the engineers, constructors and the marketing team. The hall form and size, the advanced technologies used inside, and the modern interior design made a great impression. At the heart of the new hall, is a large workspace for the prototype and tooling department, where employees will develop the newest Wood-Mizer sawmill and woodworking equipment. Nearby, another team from the “Special Machines” department has a dedicated area for customizing equipment according to customer requests. The new building’s office spreads onto two floors – the lower floor with the marketing, tooling, and R&D departments, and the upper floor with the construction and technical design departments. The offices are air-conditioned, and the employees can use separate conference rooms and a modern kitchen. The production area is connected directly to a functional locker room and bathrooms with showers.

Wood-Mizer is confident that with current and future investments, the company also contributes to the development and promotion of Koło, its origin town, creating new chances and opportunities for locals.
