Wood in Architecture & Design redefines bio-architecture

The latest edition of Wood + in Architecture & Design’ (WAD) was an instant hit at the IndiaWood 2022. The conference Wood in Architecture & Design redefines bio-architecture, sustainability and hybrid structure as a way forward in a  responsible way at the IndiaWood 2022 as organisers launched a platform ‘Wood + in Architecture & Design’ (WAD) to bring the traditional and contemporary thinkers on a  common platform to explore, discuss and understand versatility of wood in architecture and design.

“We are delighted to present our latest platform “Wood in Architecture and Design” which will bring together leading experts and industry leaders who will discuss and deliberate about the functionality and versatility of wood as a construction material. The show began with Jürgen Köppel’s speech on “Mega trends driving the industry. Mr Benjamin Blocher of Blocker parters delivered an insightful; keynote address in the opening session. He addressed building with wood as “an opportunity for a sustainable future.”

Leading speakers highlighted on the key projects and design strategies that are implemented to promote eco-friendly wooden structure. Attendees of the conference got insights on the innovations and experimentations from the industry leaders and material experts.

Leena Kumar Principal Architect at Kumar Consultants dives deep into the various aspects which makes wood a worthy material of choice for construction. Patrick Phua from HOMAG India Pvt. Ltd. HOMAG enlightened on Timber Framing Housing Construction Principles in his presentation during Wood+ in Architecture & Design.
