Wood Awards announced partnership with Material Matters and as a part of their exciting new relation they made it official that they will display the shortlist at London Design Festival. The show is slated to begin on September 22 and continue till the 25th. Based on the award-winning podcast of the same name by Grant Gibson, Material Matters is the latest addition to London Design Festival as a dynamic new display of design innovation.

Materials Matters has decided to include four days of site-specific installations. The Wood Awards will in turn be running a partnering exhibition at the Gallery@OXO, a hyper visible space which lies between the Bargehouse and the Thames, in the very heart of London.

“We are delighted to be able to showcase the incredible Wood Awards 2022 shortlist at the London Design Festival with Material Matters”, says TDUK chief executive David Hopkins.

“The Wood Awards is the highest architecture and design accolade of the UK timber industry, and each year we see the quality continue to grow.

“This year is no exception, and I can say without hesitation that this year’s shortlist shows that the UK has some of the most exciting timber talent in the world.

“Amidst the exhibition, we are also delighted to be able to launch Timber Development UK as a completely integrated organisation which can help revolutionise our built environment.

“2022 will be a time to celebrate all things wood, as the timber supply chain for the first time truly comes together under one roof, from supplier all the way to specifier.

“We hope all our members, longstanding, new, and prospective, as well as the wider public, are able to enjoy this moment with us, along with these stunning entries to the Wood Awards.”

“We’re delighted that the Wood Awards shortlist will be unveiled at Material Matters 2022”, says Grant Gibson, co-founder of Material Matters 2022.
