Vollmer Korea recently welcomed fresh change in its management team. In early 2023, Jooma Park assumed leadership of Volmer Korea LTD. from former Managing Director Song Ho Hwang.
South Korea is a key market in Asia for international sharpening specialist VOLLMER and the Biberach-based machine manufacturer had a presence in the region for over 30 years. In 2016, Vollmer established its own site in South Korea. Sharpening specialist Vollmer, based in southern Germany, has appointed a new Managing Director of the Vollmer Korea subsidiary in Seoul.
Jooma Park assumed the position of Managing Director from Song Ho Hwang in the spring of 2023. Song Ho Hwang started working for Vollmer in South Korea in the early 1990s as a dealer under the company name “Palma Trading”. In 2016, Song Ho Hwang played a major role in establishing Vollmer Korea and was responsible for the very successful development of the Seoul-based subsidiary. He entered retirement in March 2023.
Jooma Park is an experienced expert and connoisseur of the Asian tool market. He is now taking over the running of Vollmer Korea with fresh vigor. He joined Vollmer about a year ago and has shown great commitment in familiarising himself with his new position as Managing Director. The subsidiary also moved into its new premises in Seoul as this change in management comes into being. The Vollmer site in South Korea employs three people. Emphasising on his planned goals, Jooma Park said, “My goal is to sustainably expand the business of VOLLMER sharpening machines in South Korea and to even more firmly establish our services and digital solutions in the tool manufacturing industry.”
Vollmer is one of the leader for the state-of-the-art grinding, erosion and machining tools for rotary tools and circular saws in the wood- and metalworking industries and metal-cutting band saws. The company tries it best to offer an extensive range of machines that come with cuatomised services. Vollmer is a solution provider for global customers- which include all like sharpening services, saw mills, tool manufactures and production companies. With fresh changes like this the company further extends in the Asian market with better sustainable products and efficient service for its customers.
