Metsä Fibre is happy to announce their new appointment of Jaakko Vierola as Mill Manager at their Vilppula sawmill as of March 10, 2025.
Vierola has a long career at Metsä Group and previously he acted as Technical Director of Metsä Group’s Rauma sawmill project as well as mill manager for Renko and Vilppula sawmills.
Metsä Fibre is a leading producer of wood-based bioproducts, such as pulp, sawn timber, biochemicals and bioenergy. They produce pulp and bioproducts at four mills and sawn timber products at four sawmills in Finland. Our products are known for their high quality, which is based on the unique characteristics of Nordic wood.
Metsä Fibre is part of the Finnish forest industry group Metsä Group. They are committed to the principles of regenerative forestry that aims to more vibrant, diverse, and climate-resistant forests.
