Positioned within Vietnamese fast growing economic environment, the 15th edition of VietnamWood 2023 gears up to evolve manufacturing performances. This exhibition will be good momentum to showcase innovative solutions needed to spur wood industry attractiveness but also to further explore mutual benefits within EVFTA.

The exhibition, by its nature, will provide the platform of clear price-performance ratios and market trends aimed at woodworking business improvement. VietnamWood 2023 exhibitors can achieve their goals in terms of boosting sales, building on existing customer relationships and strengthening customers’ loyalty.

Vietnamese wood-related value chain is a glaring example of it with previous year could be perceived as its milestone. Committed to sustainable growth, Vietnam reported a 28.3 % improvement in manufacturing output during the third quarter of 2022, far exceeding the average of emerging industrial economies (UNIDO, III Quarter 2022). Besides other sounding policies in place, this is also the result of the country’s commitment to further enhance the compliance among national and international standards, which allows for active participation in regional and global value chains.

In 2023 there were not many fluctuations in industry’s dynamics considering that macro context has not changed much having main factors affecting the world’s demand and supply still in place.

Significant factor in plotting the woodworking course between Europe and Vietnam in the future will be also the knowledge exchange with focus on process automation and technological improvement, especially considering the existing Vietnamese initiative to develop a chief information officer network for the wood and wood processing industry to foster its digital transformation.

The springboard for innovation stands in the collaborative effort between industry and research and is one of the promising ways to spur competitiveness and sustainability of the woodworking industry. VietnamWood 2023 at SECC-Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City from 20 to 23 September will be the right place to experience it.
